If one knows programming or coding then no task in the world is difficult for him. Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mostafa Jabbar said this while handing over prizes to the winners of a three-day programming camp for high school girls.
On Wednesday (March 30) at afternoon, the Minister handed over the prizes to 30 female students on the second day of the BD Girls Coding Residential Programming Camp organized by Eco USA and Bangladesh Open Source Network at Lalmatia Apon Udyog Foundation.
The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications congratulated the winning girls on their success in programming. At the same time, he said, you have the opportunity to learn programming as a teenager. This programming should be in the path of your life. You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people. Because, at present, any profession requires digital skills.
Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Kaniz Fatema of Cumilla Deputy Commissioner's Office visited the programming camp on the occasion. She elaborated on the initiatives to teach robotics, programming and freelancing education to secondary level students in Cumilla.
Amatur Rashid, President of Eco Bangladesh, thanked everyone involved in the BD Girls Coding project and said that Eco Bangladesh has set up a school for residential orphan girls called Residential Shefa Model High School. We want disadvantaged girls to be brought under such training.

Earlier, a programming competition was organized with the participation of high school girls from all over the country. The camp started on 29th March and will end on 31st March. This three day camp is being organized with the winners of the competition. The winners of the camp were given medals, certificates and cash prizes.
Bangladesh Computer Council, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), Bangladesh Computer Society, Bangladesh Women in Technology and Internet Society-Bangladesh Chapter and Maksudul Alam Science Lab (Masslab) are collaborating in BD Girls Coding Project.
